This holder was developed to save fingers from grinding and burning, when surfacing samples on grinding wheel. The 40 lb pull of the magnet holds the sample. The retaining shield keeps the sample from sliding. A screw is used to break the magnetic field which allows the removal of the sample.

“Alpha Buster” Tool Steel Mortar and Pestle
The mortar measures 76 mm 76 mm x 115 mm high with a 70 mm deep cavity. The pestle is 250mm long.
